Description
The Magpul MS3 Single QD Gen 2 is built for shooters who want a sling that can function as a single-point or two-point system without requiring tool changes or a swap between separate slings. The core of that adaptability is the Paraclip shackle, a case-hardened steel lever with a cross-bolt lock bar that lets you shift configurations quickly during use rather than at the workbench. On the rear, a heavy-duty push-button quick-disconnect swivel mates directly to the QD sling cup sockets found on most modern lower receivers, receiver end plates, and buttstocks, so the sling works with a wide range of rifles and shotguns without needing an adapter.
The Gen 2 revision addresses a practical shortcoming of the original design: the adjustment slider is now lower in profile, reducing bulk against the body and allowing one-handed length changes under load. Webbing length has also been extended to accommodate a broader range of body types and to remain functional over body armor. The 1.25-inch nylon webbing is treated for near-infrared signature reduction, which matters for anyone operating in environments where night-vision equipment is in use. Hardware throughout is hardened steel and heavy-duty polymer, keeping weight down without sacrificing the durability the system needs to hold up under daily handling. The forward attachment is compatible with snap-hook style sling loops, though loops with an inner diameter of at least 9/16 inch are needed for the Paraclip to move through its full range of motion. The sling ships in Ranger Green.
