Description
The Magpul PMAG 20 AK/AKM MOE is a purpose-built polymer magazine for Kalashnikov-pattern rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm, including the AK-47, AKM, AKS, and compatible platforms like the SIG 556R. The reduced-capacity format makes it a practical choice for shooters who spend time in a prone position, where a standard 30-round magazine can interfere with a low profile, or for those who simply prefer a lighter, more compact loadout without giving up the reliability the platform demands.
The body is constructed entirely from impact- and crush-resistant polymer, keeping weight down without sacrificing structural integrity under field conditions. Inside, a constant-curve geometry channels rounds into the chamber at a consistent angle throughout the entire feeding cycle, which matters on a tapered cartridge like the 7.62×39 where geometry shifts as the stack height drops. The anti-tilt follower is self-lubricating, reducing the friction that can cause nose-dive malfunctions, and it works in conjunction with a long-life stainless steel spring designed to maintain consistent tension over extended storage under compression.
The floorplate is removable for cleaning and inspection, and the bottom of the body includes paint pen dot matrix panels so you can mark individual magazines for rotation tracking or identification. Ribbed side panels combined with aggressive front and rear texturing give you positive purchase during both tactical reloads and routine handling. The magazine counts as three U.S.-made compliance parts under 922(r) for builders working with imported receivers. Made in the U.S.A.
