Description

The PMAG Ranger Plate gives shooters a straightforward way to improve magazine handling under pressure without replacing the magazine itself. It swaps out the factory floorplate on 5.56×45/.223 Remington PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M2 MOE magazines and adds a rubber loop at the base — the same basic concept as the original Magpul USGI Ranger design — that lets you hook a finger or thumb under the magazine during a reload or extract it cleanly from a tight pouch. That loop also provides meaningful drop protection when a loaded magazine hits a hard surface.

The baseplate itself is Magpul polymer, built to the same standard as the magazine body it mounts to, and the rubber loop is designed to hold up through repeated use rather than becoming brittle or cracking over time. Installation is a direct swap for the original floorplate. The Ranger Plate fits both window and non-window variants of the PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M2 MOE, as well as the PMAG 30G MagLevel. It is not compatible with GEN M3 magazines, 7.62×39 or 7.62×51 PMAGs, or any metal magazine — the fit is dedicated to the GEN M2 MOE platform.

Each package includes three Ranger Plates, making it practical to equip a full set of magazines at once rather than piecemeal. For anyone running GEN M2 MOE PMAGs in a competition, duty, or field context where fumbled reloads cost time or worse, this is one of the more useful incremental upgrades available for that platform.
