Description

Night Fision’s Optic Plate + Backup Sight Combo is built for Glock full-size MOS pistol owners who want to mount a Holosun 509T without sacrificing a usable iron sight picture. The 509T footprint is notably larger than most red dot footprints, which means the optic physically blocks traditional dovetail sights — this plate-and-sight combo solves that by pairing a dedicated mounting plate with backup sights sized and positioned to co-witness through the optic’s window rather than around it.

The plate itself is machined from 17-4 stainless steel and finished with a nitride coating, which adds surface hardness and corrosion resistance without meaningfully adding weight. Those material choices matter in a mounting application because the plate sits between the slide and the optic, absorbing recoil impulse every shot — a softer or thinner material would eventually allow the optic to walk under sustained use.

The included backup sights run a tritium front with a yellow surround and a blacked-out rear, sized to the 330–353 blade height range for a lower one-third co-witness with optics sharing this footprint. That co-witness height keeps the irons usable without requiring you to look over or under the dot. The rear is intentionally plain — glare-reducing serrations and beveled edges are present, but there’s no rear tritium vial competing visually with the front, which keeps the sight picture clean and fast under stress.

The package includes hardware specific to Holosun 509T installation and a Night Fision optic tool with a T10 Torx head for mounting and a small flat-head end for windage and elevation adjustments. This combination is compatible with standard full-size Glock MOS models and does not fit Slimline MOS variants.
