Radian assembles each Model 1 by hand and test-fires it before it ships, which is not universal practice at this price point. The upper and lower receivers are Cerakoted together as a matched pair in Radian Black, so finish and fit are consistent rather than incidental. That Cerakote layer also provides meaningful corrosion resistance over bare anodizing in field conditions.

The .223 Wylde chamber is a deliberate engineering choice rather than a marketing label. By splitting the difference between a SAAMI .223 Remington throat and a mil-spec 5.56 NATO chamber, it allows the shooter to run either cartridge through the same barrel while preserving the tighter leade geometry that contributes to better group consistency with match-grade .223 loads. You do not have to choose between ammunition flexibility and accuracy potential.

The ambidextrous safety and controls mean the platform is equally usable for left- and right-handed shooters without modification. The Radian Raptor-SD charging handle is designed to direct gas away from the shooter’s face during suppressed fire, which matters on a short-barreled platform where gas blowback is more pronounced. An extended M-LOK aluminum handguard gives enough rail space for lights or other accessories while keeping the overall profile manageable. The match-grade barrel is threaded, leaving muzzle device selection to the end user.
