Description
The Radian Afterburner and Ramjet combo is built for the shooter who wants meaningful recoil reduction on a Glock 19 Gen5 without adding a threaded barrel or dealing with a traditional thread-mount compensator. The INTRA-LOK mounting system uses a tapered locking screw that seats against an angled V-groove cut into the underside of the barrel, pulling the compensator down tight against the barrel’s muzzle profile. That geometry clocks and locks the compensator in one motion, so installation and removal for cleaning require no timing marks and no thread-chasing.
The Ramjet barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel, a grade chosen for its dimensional stability under sustained fire, and the Afterburner compensator is machined from hardened stainless steel. Both components receive a Radianite coating, which Radian describes as combining low friction, high hardness, and corrosion resistance — relevant not just for wear but for resistance to the erosive gases that exit directly into the compensator body during each shot cycle.
When installed on a Glock 19 Gen5, the added length of the Afterburner brings the overall package to the external dimensions of a G17, which means the setup is compatible with holsters cut for the longer slide. The compensator’s front face is angled to assist holster re-entry rather than snag on the mouth. The combo is also listed as fitting the G19X and G45, making it a practical option for anyone running one of those frames who wants a single drop-in recoil management solution without permanent modification to the host pistol.
