Description

The Reptilia Saddle Mount is built for Beretta 1301 and A300 shotgun owners who want to run a miniature red dot without raising their sight line above the factory iron sights. Rather than stacking a riser between the receiver and the optic, the Saddle positions the glass as low as the geometry of the receiver allows, which means the factory Beretta front bead and rear sight remain visible in the same focal plane as the dot — a genuine co-witness rather than a compromise offset.

The mount accepts optics cut to the Aimpoint ACRO footprint, which covers the Aimpoint ACRO itself and the Steiner MPS. That footprint has become a practical standard for semi-automatic shotgun builds where a compact, enclosed-emitter red dot is preferred for durability under hard recoil. Reptilia machines the Saddle from 7075-T6 aluminum billet, which offers a better strength-to-weight ratio than the 6061 alloy common in less demanding applications, and finishes it with a Milspec Type III hardcoat anodize — a hard, pore-sealed surface that resists wear from cycling and field handling better than standard Type II anodizing. Installation uses the screws that ship with the 1301 and A300, so no additional hardware is required and the fit is matched to Beretta’s own thread specification from the factory.

The result is a purpose-built solution for a specific platform rather than a universal adapter, which matters when the geometry of a semi-automatic shotgun receiver leaves little margin for a mount that doesn’t account for the exact rail profile and screw pattern Beretta uses.
