Description

The Riton 3 Tactix PRD 3 is a pistol red dot built around the demands of everyday carry and defensive use — a shooter who needs a dot that is ready the instant the gun clears the holster, not one that requires fussing with buttons under stress. The integrated hood does real work here: it deflects holster wear, incidental impacts, and direct sunlight away from the lens, keeping the glass clear and the dot usable across conditions where an unprotected emitter would wash out or collect scratches.

Three reticle modes — a single dot, a circle, and a dot-within-circle — let you tune the presentation to your preference rather than accept a single compromise. The 2 MOA dot delivers enough precision for tighter work at distance, while the 50 MOA circle pulls your eye to center quickly at close range. The optic saves your last-used reticle and brightness setting, so the dot comes on in the same configuration you left it, with no re-indexing required.

Motion-sensing auto-wake means the unit powers itself on as the pistol comes up, and powers back down when it sits still — a meaningful contribution to the 50,000-hour battery rating. A side-loading battery tray keeps the optic on the gun during changes. Ten brightness levels cover the range from night-vision-compatible low settings through full daylight. The RMR footprint mounts directly to slides cut for that pattern; a Picatinny adapter ships with the unit for long-gun use.
