Description

The Riton 5 Tactix 1-10×24 is built for shooters who need a single optic to handle both close-quarters work and longer-range precision without swapping glass. It sits squarely in the LPVO category but pushes toward the demanding end of it, and the 10x ceiling gives it genuine reach that a conventional 1-6x or 1-8x can’t match at distance.

The first focal plane reticle is the right choice for a variable-power optic used at mixed distances. Because the reticle scales with magnification, any holdover, wind-call, or ranging mark etched into the 3OT remains accurate at every power setting rather than only at a single calibrated magnification. On 1x, the illuminated center functions as a practical red-dot substitute for fast target acquisition. As you dial up, the christmas-tree subtension layout gives you the reference points needed for drop compensation and wind holds at extended range — the same reticle serves both roles without compromise.

Rapid power transitions are handled by Riton’s patent-pending Dual Throw Lever System. The lever mounts in multiple positions around the power ring and is available in different heights, so the setup can be configured for bare-handed shooting or adjusted to clear gloves and still be actuated cleanly. That modularity matters when the difference between 1x and 10x needs to happen in a single deliberate motion under stress.

The tube is machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and the scope is rated to withstand impacts up to 1,200 Gs, which covers the recoil impulse of most rifle platforms including airguns. Six illumination levels with an off position between each step let you tune brightness to ambient light conditions without cycling through the full range to reach the setting you want.
