Seekins Precision’s Low Profile Adjustable Gas Block is built for shooters who want precise control over how their AR-platform rifle cycles, whether they’re chasing suppressor-host reliability, tuning for a specific ammunition load, or reducing felt recoil through a dialed-in gas system rather than heavier buffers and springs. A fixed gas block delivers whatever the barrel’s port dictates; this one lets you restrict or increase gas flow incrementally, which means you can find the minimum charge that cycles the action cleanly and run there — keeping bolt speed and carrier velocity in a range that’s easier on components and more predictable on the clock.

The block’s overall height of 1.37 inches and left-to-right width of 0.94 inches keep it inside most modern free-float handguards without grinding clearance. That matters because slimmer rail systems have made a lot of older, taller adjustable blocks unusable without a handguard swap. The .750-inch bore fits the barrel diameter this block is sized for, and the Melonite finish — Seekins’ own designation for the ferritic nitrocarburizing treatment applied to the steel — puts a hard, corrosion-resistant surface on the part that sits at the hottest point in the gas system. Melonite penetrates the steel rather than sitting on top of it, so it holds up through sustained strings of fire without flaking or wearing through at the edges the way some coatings can. Note that a gas tube roll pin is not included, so source one separately if you’re building from scratch or replacing a block that didn’t preserve the pin.
