Description
The Seekins Precision HIT Precision Mount is built for shooters who demand a scope mount that stays put through hard use and repeated field conditions. It is a one-piece design machined from 7075 aluminum, a material that balances structural rigidity with the kind of weight that does not penalize a rifle being carried all day.
The defining feature is the S-LOCK wedge system. Most scope mounts rely on clamping force alone to resist fore-and-aft movement along a Picatinny rail, which means any looseness in the rail slot geometry becomes a potential point of zero shift. The S-LOCK wedge fills the gap between rail slots mechanically, so the mount is locked against movement in both directions independent of clamping torque alone. The practical effect is that the mount does not need to be monitored or re-torqued on a schedule to maintain zero — once it is set, the mechanical interface takes over rather than relying entirely on friction.
The 35mm tube diameter accommodates modern long-range optics that use larger main tubes for increased internal adjustment travel, and the 1.45-inch centerline height positions those optics to clear most free-float handguards and suppressor housings while keeping the bore-to-optic offset at a manageable level. The finish is a hard-anodized black that resists corrosion and abrasion without adding appreciable weight. This is a mount suited to precision rifle work where mechanical repeatability matters more than any single feature in isolation.
