Description

The Shield Arms SA-15 Complete Folding Lower Receiver is built for shooters who need a full-size AR-15 that stows in a significantly smaller footprint — for vehicle transport, pack carry, or any situation where length is the limiting constraint. The folding capability is not achieved through a bolt-on adapter between the lower and stock; Shield Arms patents the mechanism into the receiver itself, which means the hinge is part of the machined body rather than an additional component sandwiched into the assembly. That design choice removes more than half a pound compared to adapter-based folding systems, weight that would otherwise sit at the balance point of the rifle where it is most noticeable during extended carry.

The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum and finished with mil-spec hard-coat anodizing. That alloy is meaningfully stiffer than 6061 at the same wall thickness, which matters in a folding design where the hinge and locking surfaces carry stress that a conventional fixed receiver never sees. The assembly ships complete with a B5 Systems Bravo buttstock and B5 Systems pistol grip, an ALG Advanced Combat Trigger, and a Radian ambidextrous safety selector — components chosen for consistent geometry and repeatable function rather than cost reduction.
