Description

The MODX-9 is built for shooters who want to tune their suppressor to the task at hand rather than accept a fixed compromise between size and sound reduction. The core idea is a modular titanium baffle stack: you can pull baffles out and run a shorter, lighter configuration when compactness matters more than maximum attenuation, then reinstall them when you want the full sound package. That kind of field-adjustable trade-off is genuinely useful on a host-agnostic platform that moves between a compact pistol and a pistol-caliber carbine.

Titanium throughout keeps the full-configuration weight at eight ounces, which matters on a pistol where muzzle-heavy balance degrades split times and makes one-handed work harder. The Black DLC finish is applied over 3D-printed titanium — a construction method that allows internal geometry a traditional machined part could not achieve, and one Sig Sauer uses specifically to optimize baffle efficiency within a given envelope.

The suppressor ships ready for two common attachment standards — a 1/2″-28 piston and an M13.5x1mm LH piston are both included, covering the majority of threaded 9mm pistol barrels without an additional purchase. A fixed barrel spacer is also in the box for direct mounting on pistol-caliber carbine barrels, where a booster-equipped piston is unnecessary and the fixed interface improves alignment. Twenty-one points of impact adjustment give you meaningful ability to correct point-of-impact shift on optic-equipped hosts. The exterior profile is machined with wrench flats integrated into the design rather than added as separate features, so you have purchase for installation and removal without a dedicated tool.
