Description
The ROMEO-MSR GEN II and JULIET5 Micro combo is built specifically for modern sporting rifle platforms, pairing a red dot optic with a 5x magnifier for shooters who need to move between close-quarters target acquisition and mid-range precision without swapping optics. The setup is practical for 3-gun competitors, range shooters who work multiple distances, and anyone who wants a single optic system capable of handling both roles.
The ROMEO-MSR GEN II mounts on a redesigned see-through riser that positions the dot at 1.41 inches of sight height, which is what Sig calls absolute co-witness — meaning your iron sights appear centered through the red dot window rather than sitting low in the lower portion of the glass. If the optic fails, your irons are immediately usable without any adjustment to your cheek weld or hold. The 2 MOA dot is fine enough for precise shots at distance without obscuring the target, and the rotary illumination dial runs through 12 settings — ten for daylight and two dedicated night vision positions — so brightness is always set deliberately rather than cycled through at the moment of use.
Attaching the JULIET5 Micro via the included 90-degree flip-to-side mount lets you keep the red dot in your sight line and push the magnifier out of the way with a single motion when transitioning to closer targets. The Multi Dot reticle becomes usable at 5x without requiring you to re-zero or adjust your point of aim. Both units are rated IPX-7 waterproof. The ROMEO-MSR GEN II runs on a single CR2032 battery with a rated runtime of 35,000 hours, so battery management is not a regular concern during normal use.
