Description
The SIG SAUER Romeo-X is a compact reflex sight built around SIG’s SIG-LOC mounting system, which is designed to attach directly to SIG pistol slides without a separate adapter plate. That direct-to-slide interface eliminates the height and play introduced by a stacked mount, keeping the dot low and the sight picture closer to the bore axis — a meaningful advantage on a carry or competition pistol where consistency of presentation matters.
The enclosed emitter design protects the LED source from debris, moisture, and mechanical damage in a way that an open-emitter reflex cannot. That construction trades a marginally larger profile for meaningfully better durability under hard use. The 3 MOA red dot is small enough to maintain precision at practical handgun distances without obscuring the target, and 15 brightness levels let the shooter dial the dot intensity to ambient light conditions rather than forcing a compromise between washout in direct sun and bloom indoors. Adjustments are made in 1.5 MOA increments, which provides fine-grained zeroing without the coarse steps that make precise correction tedious. The housing is machined from 7075 aluminum, a grade commonly used where a high strength-to-weight ratio is the design priority. The sight runs on a CR battery. At 1x magnification there is no image distortion or parallax distortion from misaligned eye position to manage, which keeps target acquisition fast and both-eyes-open shooting natural.
This model is finished in black and is the compact variant of the Romeo-X line, suited to shooters who want an enclosed-emitter optic on a SIG-pattern slide without committing to a larger housing.
