Description

The Tango SPR is built for the shooter who wants a single optic that can handle close-quarters work at true 1x and reach out to intermediate distances without swapping glass. That range makes it a practical choice for carbine competitions, duty rifles, and general-purpose AR builds where conditions shift unpredictably.

The second focal plane placement of the Hellfire Illuminated FL-4 reticle means the reticle subtensions are calibrated at maximum magnification. At 4x, any holdover or ranging marks in the reticle read true; at lower power settings, those marks compress along with the image, so shooters using the reticle for precise holdovers should dial to 4x before doing so. At 1x, that trade-off disappears entirely — the reticle functions as a fast-acquisition aiming point, and the illumination earns its place by keeping the reticle visible against dark backgrounds or in low light without requiring a separate dot sight.

The 30mm main tube gives the erector system more room to travel than a standard 1-inch tube, which translates to a wider usable adjustment range before the erector reaches its mechanical limits. For a carbine-length zero with any meaningful elevation hold dialed in, that headroom matters. The 24mm objective keeps the profile low enough to clear most standard-height mounts without requiring a canted rail or riser. Sig includes the Alpha MSR 1.535-inch mount, which positions the optical axis at a height commonly used with AR-pattern rifles to maintain a consistent cheek weld.
