Description
The Safariland Model 571 GLS Slim Pro-Fit is built around a straightforward problem: carrying a single-stack subcompact pistol outside the waistband without the bulk that typically comes with retention holsters. It fits the Glock 43 and 43X as well as the Springfield Hellcat, and is cut for right-hand draw.
The retention mechanism is the GLS, or Grip Lock System. When the pistol is holstered, it locks automatically — no manual step required. On the draw, the middle finger naturally engages the release lever as part of a standard shooting grip, deactivating the lock without any deliberate extra motion. The result is a retention holster that does not require a separate sweep or thumb press before the draw stroke begins.
The holster body is made from SafariSeven, Safariland’s proprietary nylon blend. The material is non-abrasive against a pistol’s finish, which matters on a holster used for daily carry, and it handles temperature extremes without warping or becoming brittle. A single tension-adjustment point lets you tune the fit to your specific gun.
The included micro-paddle keeps the package slim and positions the holster close to the body — useful for concealment even though this is an outside-the-waistband design. The shell is cut to clear aftermarket night sights taller than factory height, so adding night sights to your carry gun does not require sourcing a different holster. The mounting pattern uses the same three-hole layout found across Safariland’s holster line, meaning any compatible Safariland belt attachment will swap directly onto this body.
