Description
The Safariland 6354RDSO is built for duty and tactical use with optic-equipped handguns, and this variant is cut specifically for the Glock 47 paired with the SureFire X300U weapon light. It belongs to Safariland’s RDSO line rather than the standard RDS series — a meaningful distinction. Where the RDS holsters use a flip-up dust cover to enclose the optic pocket, the RDSO leaves that pocket open, which eliminates the cover as a potential snag or draw-cycle interference point while still providing the structural relief necessary to clear a mounted red dot sight.
Retention is handled by the Automatic Locking System (ALS), a passive mechanism that locks the firearm the moment it seats fully in the holster. No external strap needs to be engaged after the draw — the shooter simply sweeps the ALS release thumb lever and draws straight up. That single, consistent motion means the deactivation and draw can be practiced into muscle memory without managing multiple retention stages under stress.
The holster ships with a QLS 19 Locking Fork already installed. The fork mates with any QLS 22 Receiver Plate, giving the user flexibility to transfer the holster between a duty belt, leg shroud, or other compatible platform without tools and without re-zeroing the cant. The outer material is SafariLaminate in MultiCam, and the interior is suede-lined to protect the pistol’s finish during repeated holstering. This is a right-hand configuration. Safariland notes that fit with non-factory optic mounting solutions — dovetail adapters and the like — cannot be guaranteed, so verify your specific optic and mount combination before ordering.
