Description
The Safariland Model 6360 is a duty holster built for law enforcement and security professionals who need reliable weapon retention under real working conditions. It fits the Glock 19 and Glock 23 when equipped with a weapon-mounted light, making it a practical choice for officers who carry a light as standard kit rather than an afterthought.
The retention system combines two independent mechanisms. The ALS — Automatic Locking System — engages the moment the firearm is seated, securing it without any extra step from the wearer. The SLS — Self Locking System — adds a rotating hood over the top of the slide, requiring a deliberate forward push and rotation before the draw can proceed. Together they deliver Level III retention, meaning an attacker attempting a straight upward pull cannot remove the firearm without defeating both systems in the correct sequence. That sequence becomes second nature with dry-draw practice, but it presents a meaningful obstacle to anyone unfamiliar with the mechanism.
The holster shell is constructed from SafariLaminate, a thermoplastic laminate material that holds its shape under sustained carry and resists deformation in heat. The interior is suede-lined to protect the firearm’s finish and sight edges during repeated holstering. The mid-ride belt loop positions the gun closer to the body than a standard drop-leg or low-ride setup, which reduces swing and keeps the grip accessible without extending the draw stroke. The STX exterior finish provides a plain, matte appearance suited to plain-clothes or uniformed carry. Right-hand configuration. Optional Sentry attachment can bring retention up to Level IV for higher-risk environments.
