Description
The Safariland Model 6378 is built for concealed or plainclothes carry where you need genuine retention without the bulk of a duty rig. It suits armed professionals and civilian carriers who want a holster that stays secure during movement but doesn’t slow the draw when it counts.
The core of the design is the Automatic Locking System. When the pistol is seated, an internal lock engages the slide automatically — no manual step required. To draw, you deactivate the lock by pressing inward with your thumb as you establish your firing grip, so the motion integrates into a normal draw stroke rather than adding a separate step before it. That means retention doesn’t cost you time if you’ve trained on it, but the pistol won’t come out from a grab, a fall, or a struggle for the weapon.
The body is constructed from SafariLaminate, a thermoplastic laminate that holds its shape through heat and impact, with a SafariSuede interior lining that protects the firearm’s finish and prevents the sight from snagging on the draw. The holster rides at a slight forward cant, which brings the grip closer to the natural position of a reaching hand and keeps the overall package closer to the body than a neutral-cant design would.
Two mounting options ship in the box: an injection-molded paddle for easy on and off without a belt, and a 567BL belt loop that accepts belts from 1.5 to 1.75 inches wide. The STX Plain Black finish is a matte, non-reflective surface appropriate for plainclothes use. This is the left-hand version, fitting the Glock 19, 23, and 32 with a 4-inch barrel.
