Description
The Safariland Model 6378 ALS Paddle Holster is built for concealed or plainclothes carry of the Glock 20 and 21, offering a slim outside-the-waistband profile that sits close to the body without the bulk of a full duty rig. It suits plainclothes officers, armed professionals, and civilian carriers who want a retention holster they can run daily without printing excessively.
The core of this holster is Safariland’s Automatic Locking System, known as ALS. When the firearm is seated, the ALS engages a lock around the ejection port area automatically — no thought required on the draw. To release it, the shooter sweeps a thumb lever on the way to the draw stroke, so the motion integrates naturally with a trained grip. That single-motion release is meaningfully faster than rotating or pushing a hood while still providing active retention that resists a grab from any direction.
The exterior is finished in STX Plain Black, a matte SafariLaminate material that resists scuffs and avoids the glare that high-polish finishes can produce in low-light environments. The mounting system combines a paddle and a belt loop on the same platform, so the carrier can choose how the holster attaches without purchasing separate hardware. The paddle allows for quick on and off without threading a belt, while the loop option anchors the holster more firmly for extended wear or physical work. Right-hand orientation is fixed, so left-hand shooters should confirm compatibility before ordering.
