SL 6378 ALS PDL FOR GLK17 RH PLN STX

Description

The Safariland 6378 ALS Paddle Holster is built for shooters who carry a Glock 17 outside the waistband and need a holster that can disappear under a cover garment without sacrificing retention or draw speed. It is a working holster — straightforward to use, designed around a specific mechanical principle, and built to hold up under daily use.

The retention comes from Safariland’s Automatic Locking System, which secures the firearm the moment it seats in the holster. There is no external thumb break to manage and no separate retention lever to remember under stress. A single, consistent thumb movement deactivates the lock and clears the way for the draw, which means the motion becomes muscle memory quickly and stays consistent regardless of conditions. The holster body is thermal-molded SafariLaminate with a SafariSuede interior lining that protects the slide finish and reduces noise when holstering.

This variant is sized to fit the Glock 17 equipped with a weapon-mounted light, accommodating models including the SureFire X300 and X300U, Streamlight TLR-1 and TLR-1HL, and several Nightstick and Inforce options. The fit is light-specific rather than universal, so the holster indexes reliably on the light body rather than relying solely on the frame — that translates to consistent muzzle position for the draw every time. The paddle attachment provides a stable platform that clips over the waistband without a belt, though it is also removable for use with a compatible belt loop. The STX Plain finish presents a matte, non-reflective surface suited to plainclothes carry. This holster is right-hand draw only.
