SL SPECIES FITS GLOCK 19 COR MCBK RH

Description

The Safariland Species is an inside-the-waistband holster built specifically for concealed carry, particularly appendix carry, where bulk and print are the primary enemies of a workable setup. Rather than adapting a general-purpose design, Safariland engineered the Species around a minimalist profile that trims material in the areas that matter most for IWB wear without compromising the structural integrity around the trigger guard.

Construction centers on SafariLaminate, a thermal-molded material that combines a rigid Boltaron core with a Cordura finish in Multicam Black. The suede lining serves a practical dual purpose: it holds the pistol more securely than a smooth interior would, and it reduces the wear that repeated draw cycles inflict on a handgun’s finish over time. Fit is model-specific for the Glock 19, so the retention geometry is shaped to that frame rather than approximated from a family mold.

Retention is passive and lives at the trigger guard, where a tension adjustment device lets the user dial in exactly how much resistance they want on the draw and during reholstering. The mounting clip is both fully cantable and vertically adjustable, which matters for appendix carry because small changes in ride height and cant angle have a large effect on comfort when seated. The clip is sized for standard 1.5-inch belts. The holster is optic-compatible, with a sight channel that clears standard-height sights and cutouts supporting optics including the Romeo Zero, RMR CC, Shield RMS, Shield RMS-C, Swampfox Sentinel, Hex Wasp, and J-Point footprints.
