SL SPECIES SIG P365 XMACRO BLK RH

Description

The Safariland Species is an inside-the-waistband holster built around the SIG P365 X-Macro for right-hand draw. It is a purpose-designed concealed-carry option for shooters who want Safariland’s material quality in a more compact, body-hugging package than traditional outside-the-waistband designs allow.

The holster is constructed from Safariland’s SafariLaminate, a material chosen for its rigidity and resistance to deformation under the heat and pressure conditions that come with daily carry against the body. That structural consistency matters for IWB use in particular, because a holster that softens or collapses during a draw cycle can impede re-holstering with one hand — a meaningful concern in a defensive context.

Tension adjustment is built in, letting the carrier dial in how much resistance the holster offers during the draw. That single adjustment changes the character of the holster considerably: looser tension suits a range or competition context where speed matters more than retention security; firmer tension is appropriate when the gun may be jostled or grabbed. The dual-function design means that same mechanism controls both the feel of the draw and the overall fit around the pistol, so the two variables move together rather than requiring separate tuning.

The minimalist construction keeps the holster’s footprint smaller than many IWB options, which reduces printing under a cover garment and makes the holster easier to position along the beltline. For P365 X-Macro carriers who have found full-size IWB rigs uncomfortable or difficult to conceal, the Species addresses that trade-off without stepping down to a less structured shell.
