The 50mm objective gathers enough light to make a meaningful difference at dusk and dawn, when prey animals tend to move and flat midday light is no longer available to compensate for a smaller front lens.

The E3 reticle sits in the second focal plane, which means the subtensions are only accurate at one specific magnification setting, but the crosshairs stay the same physical size throughout the zoom range — a practical trade-off for hunters who want a clean, uncluttered aiming point at lower power when a shot presents itself quickly. The reticle includes bullet drop compensation marks at 100-yard increments along the lower vertical wire and crosswind reference marks for 5 and 10 mph winds, giving hunters a structured holdover system without requiring a separate dope card for moderate-range shots. Illumination runs through 11 brightness levels — five calibrated for daylight use and six for low-light conditions — adjusted via a side-mounted dial.

Elevation and windage adjustments track in 0.25 MOA increments.
