Description
The G2X Pro is SureFire’s dual-output answer to a straightforward problem: a single flashlight that handles both careful, close-in work and full tactical output without swapping lights or fumbling for a separate tool. The low setting puts out enough light for map reading, gear checks, or navigating without destroying your night adaptation or broadcasting your position, while the high setting delivers a throw and surround-light balance suited to scanning open ground or clearing a structure. The gap between those two modes is where the Pro earns its keep over a single-output light.
The body is polymer, which keeps weight down and eliminates corrosion as a concern — relevant if this rides in a vehicle kit, a range bag, or anywhere it sees moisture and neglect. The bezel is aerospace-grade aluminum, hard-anodized to Mil-Spec standards, so the end most likely to take impact is also the most durable part. O-ring and gasket sealing gives it an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning submersion won’t end it.
The tailcap switch gives you momentary-on with a press and constant-on with a full click — a layout that lets you control light exposure deliberately rather than accidentally. Output sequence runs low to high, so a quick check doesn’t inadvertently light you up at 600 lumens. The included CR123A batteries have a ten-year shelf life, which matters for a light stored in a kit rather than used daily. This is the Foliage Green variant, part of a color lineup that includes black and tan for those who need the body to blend rather than stand out.
