Description
The Unity Tactical REKE was developed in response to a Special Operations Forces requirement for a mounting solution on intermediate to long-range precision rifle platforms. The design problem it solves is specific: when a night vision device sits inline between the shooter and the scope, the optic must be raised to a precise height so the two optical axes align without forcing an unnatural head position. The 1.54-inch optical centerline is that calculated height, chosen to clear common inline night vision devices while still allowing a consistent cheek weld on most rifle stocks built for precision shooting.
Rather than treating that height as a fixed platform, Unity built the REKE as a modular system. The top of the mount accepts a 12 o’clock miniature red dot sight mount, and the body accommodates 35-degree offset accessory mounts and a diving-board-style attachment point for laser rangefinders — all without requiring the shooter to re-zero or reconfigure the primary optic. This matters in environments where conditions shift between day and night use and swapping hardware needs to be repeatable.
The body is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, an alloy chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio in structural applications, and finished in Type III hardcoat anodize — a hard, abrasion-resistant surface treatment that goes significantly deeper into the metal than standard anodizing. Attachment to the rail uses a three-bolt cross-clamp arrangement, which distributes clamping load across the rail rather than concentrating it at a single point, supporting a consistent return-to-zero if the mount is removed and reinstalled.
