The YHM-9473 from Yankee Hill Machine is a straightforward solution for shooters who need more real estate on a Picatinny rail—whether to achieve proper eye relief with a magnified optic, accommodate a backup sight alongside a primary optic, or position a night vision device at a workable distance from the shooter’s eye. It attaches directly to any standard Picatinny rail and adds a secondary mounting surface on top.

The half-inch of elevation the rail provides is enough to clear many co-witness conflicts and to bring low-profile optics up to a more comfortable cheek-weld height without requiring a riser stock or altered furniture. The clamping design uses a single piece of machined aluminum that tensions against the host rail when the mounting screws are tightened—a method that is mechanically simple, eliminates moving parts, and has proven reliable across a wide range of AR-pattern and similarly railed platforms.

Construction is 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodize finish applied to military specification, which means the surface is significantly harder than bare aluminum and resists the kind of contact wear that accumulates when accessories are repeatedly mounted and removed.
